Q: Do I have to take my car to the dealer?
A: No, absolutely not. We are fully equipped and trained for all makes and models of vehicles. With any repairs or maintenance completed at Excel Auto Care the warranty is always maintained.
Q: Do you have courtesy cars?
A: No, we don’t have courtey cars, but if you arrange in advance we can drop you off at your destination if it is within 10KM of our shop.
Q: My car is broken – how much it will cost to fix?
A: After diagnostic procedures we generally have a fair idea and can give you a very accurate estimate of the overall cost of the repair; however, there may be underlying problems that are only discovered after the initial repair has been completed, thus what we have estimated may be accurate but there may be unforeseen extra costs. You will be contacted for authorization before we proceed with the repair.
Q: What does it actually mean when my check engine light is on?
A: Essentially, the system in your vehicle was designed to notify you of an error in which you vehicle is emitting excessive emissions. If your check engine light has come on, there is an error that needs correcting. You may not feel or notice anything while you’re driving, but nevertheless it can affect your fuel mileage or even do damage to your engine or other components. Bring your vehicle in and let us do a diagnostic to put your mind at ease.
Q: At what point is the cost of the repair too much to keep my vehicle going?
A: There are many variables in the equation of cost of repair to value of the vehicle. Consider the cost of purchasing a new or used vehicle to the cost of the repair, history of the vehicle and possible future maintenance costs. Each situation is on a case to case basis, we at Excel Auto Care can help you make an informed decision.
Q: How often do I need to service my vehicle?
A: It is recommended that every three months or 5,000 KM you should get your vehicle checked out. This is an average and if you have an older vehicle you may need to service it more often.
Q: How can I pay my bill with Excel Auto Care?
A: We accept all major forms of payment – cash, debit, Visa, Master Card, and Amex are accepted. We will soon be offering online methods of payment as well.
